15mm Chechen War : Lots of Pics added!
« on: March 06, 2012, 02:54:26 PM »
Have wanted to tackle the Chechen Conflicts in 15mm for a while but always seem to get distracted.

Popped this guy together today and rather enjoyed it so have lined up 30 or so more on the desk. Regular Ruskis, Spetsnaz , tank troopers and a load of Chechens

Initially put together as a Russian, could easily double up as a Chechen.

Went for chest webbing and wooly hat. Sadly the webbing is mostly obscured by the AK but it helps to add to the bulky winter feel.

I reckon most if not all would fit in to Balkans themed theatres too. Plus you could use them as baddies against US / European forces. Could see them also in post apoc / near future Sci Fi.

Any suggestions to troop types etc always welcomed

Size wise would match with Khurasans SEAL DEVGRU figures (I sculpted those too)

Cheers

Adam

Whiffwaff - how can you do this to me. I have been waiting for Eureka's modern Russians to arrive and you have 30 of these. Oh dear, more height on the lead mountain (or should that be mountain range). Presume you will be selling these to a manufacturer? By the way - he is really nice.

I very like those minis,
they seem also to be quite generic. I think you hit the appropriiate niche  :) !
I hope they will distributed by someone soone (maybe Khurasan..?)

very nice figs. Very generic as said before. Those speznaz troops could be used sci-fi troops easily

Cheers,

The images of real life troops show a real mix and match of uniforms so I've tried to reflect that in the figures and keep then as generic as possible whilst still being able to use them as specific troop types.

Lots more to come in  the next few days!

Those are splendid.  :o   I'd love to have a platoon of the Russians for my near-future games.

I only recently got into 15mm and am trying to get gaming buddies to build a force for flying lead, I am pretty sure these are exactly what I need to convince at least one of them. Your not planning to sculpt some 15mm dirtbikers next are you, that would solve my next 15mil problem.  lol

Was going to add these to my existing thread but whenever I try to it just tells me I'm posting a duplicate message... so apologies for starting a new thread..

Squad of 10 Spetsnaz in Assault vests and SPEHRA helmets.

Troopers:

RPG and RPK

Officer and NCO

And some generic Russian / Eastern Bloc / Balkans / Chechen / Post Apoc (you get the idea! ;-)  )

Troopers

RPGs

Officer and RPK

All greens will be going up for sale but thought I'd share here first.

If you're interested drop me a mail at whiffwaff at yahoo dot co dot uk

Cheers

They look great! Now all you need is a few more sniper's, crew served and AT mins and you will have a compleat range. :D
