Just found a few spare minutes to take some new pictures (I also changed the lighting a bit)...here's the new and improved shack:

I think it looks a bit less boring now.

Love it!

It certainly was not boring before but a little attention to the base certainly spruces it up.
It is lovely!

The shack is fantastic. If you have some trees or you make them you will have enought scenery items for a game board!! Adding some crates, boxes and bushes you´ll have cover for your miniatures.

Thanks...I have three trees of which one has a base (bought them this Saturday), still have to do the other two. I have a ruined house, two more shacks and about 5 Shanties that I still have to paint. Reading about crates reminds me that I also have a few of those lying around unpainted...I still have a lot to do! Also lying around are some painted barrels, I'm definitely going to use these in future SA games.

The barrels:

Nice barrels dude!

Nice rust effect on the barrels.  :-*
The shed looked great before but the static grass does make it look better.

Lovely paintjob, nc!
Great job with the black and cream, not an easy combo to get right.
Well done!

Well, to be honest, the way I paint black is surprisingly simple. I paint black (Valllejo Game Color), then I hightlight with Dark Grey (Vallejo Model Color) and finally wash everything with Badab Black Wash (GW)...that's it!

Great looking figure! I plan to buy that guy and a few of the others in that range for my agents...how do they stand against other stuff like Black Cat and other companies?

Thanks. Artizan makes some great figures. Their models are very detailed, very nice to paint and just look great. The only problem I have is that thay need quite a bit of cleaning up (quite a lot of flash and moldlines), but generally not in critical areas so no detail is lost. These models are comparable to those from Bob Murch's Pulp Figures, but those have a higher casting quality (a lot less flash and moldlines). Both manufacturers are highly recommended by me.
