Very nice ghouls!!

They are GW Crypt Ghouls that I had picked up cheaply on ebay, that were seeing service in my Mordheim Undead warband. I had ten of them, so they could easily afford to donate a few members to my SA project..
These had been painted some months ago as part of a frantic afternoon of painting where 10 Ghouls and 4 Ghosts were finished inside four hours!

That´s fast!!!

Alas once more I have felt the touch of Grandfather Nurgle, so won't be able to join in the festivities this evening (unbelievable, this is something like the fourth or fifth cold-related illness I've had since October! Like busses...).

I am keen to get into the Strange Aeons vibe soon though, and anticipate a good hunt around Salute for suitable stuff. I foresee some SA painting action in the near future...

Bert has the lurgy again, the poor chap.
Have no fear, though, Kitsune will still be making it, so tonight's game shall still go ahead.
A good thing, too, as I put in the time yesterday to make sure that we had enough Cultists for the game.
There are now eight in the purple Cult, so plenty of ne'er do wells for the agents of M.O.O.S.(E). to battle this evening.

Pictures of the growing Cult and the AAR to follow later in the week.

Despite Bert not being able to make due to the lurgy, Kitsune popped over last night for a couple of games.
It was the first time that we had played, and a few errors were made whilst getting to grips.
The most serious error was misreading the Injury Table and only rolling 1d6 for the first half of the first game, resulting in one particular Agent being shot with a Double-barrelled shotgun, a .22 and a Tommy Gun in the same turn and only falling to the ground Stunned!
He had the Tough skill, but did not think he should be that Tough!
Still, once that oversight was noticed we soon found out just how dangerous being shot was. We had thought that getting shot was not such a bad thing after all.

Much fun was had whilst learning and we are looking forward to playing again very soon.
Overall it is a fantastic game, as most of you already know, and we can see the development process being a great tool with both of us having an idea of where we would like to go with our Agents.

I was unable to upload pictures from the camera last night, but Kitsune took some on his phone so there may be a few to come later....

Thanks, Mo!
It was!

Here are a couple of pictures that Kitsune sent me earlier..

Firstly, the set-up at the start of the game, utilising the em4 Farm

The far end of the table, where the Cultists were massing upon the arrival of the M.O.O.S.(E). Team.

More pics to come later...

I wouldn't want to meet that fella on a dark night! :D Not with anything short of a bazooka, anyway. Sure he wasn't one of those genitically-engineered super-human chappies? Or just wearing armoured jim jams?

Sounds like a good and successful couple of games - really sorry to have missed out on the fun. Oh for a working immune system...

The table looks fantastic, Mason - that farm is just perfect for this game. I agree with Mo! - good effort, mate.

This could be the game I use to spring upon our Wednesday night group. Invariably we play a "proper" historical game with battalions, regiments, brigades and divisions and not a button or facing colour out of place. I've been itching to try something more, what should I say....? Enjoyable...? No, no - that's not fair...Fun maybe. Lighter-hearted...Anyway, SA looks like it could be the one and Mason's use of our farm as the centre-piece makes it even more attractive because it means I don't have to lug in loads of scenery and, of course, I do happen to have one of the farms.

Looking forward to hearing more about your game, Paul so I can nick loads of ideas totally shamelessly...

Doug

Have to say your scenery has added to the fun of Paul's (Mason's) little group very nicely! Please keep up the good work.

Already looks like you had lots of fun...great looking scenery and off course lots of scenery to keep things interesting. I really want to see more pictures.

By the way Doug, great scenery and keep up the good work! Oh yeah, SA is definitely one of my most favorite games...it's fast paced, pretty easy to get the hang of and most important, it's lots of fun to play.

The farm is a lovely bit of kit.

Thanks, mate.
The farm was perfect for this size table, pretty much filling it with just a few small bits like hedges, trees, boxes, barrels etc.
Wish you had been able to make it, you missed a good evening.

Armoured jim-jams!?!
You will pay for that remark, you know that, dont you?  :D

That sounds like a very cunning plan, sir!
Will try to give you a rundown of what happenened in the game later.

I hope to add some more pics later.

Thanks, aggro84!
It was not intentional, the teaser thing.
My lead between camera and pooter is playing up, I think it has had it.
Sorry!
More to come later, one way or another.

As just mentioned, I cannot upload from the camera at the moment.
Kitsune has sent me a few pictures taken on his phone, so there will be pictures but probably not in the way that I originally intended.
Maybe no AAR, but there will be more pics, hopefully, if I badger Kitsune into sending more from his phone.

Here are a couple to keep you going for now;

Off to annoy Kitsune now, to see if he has more....

Loving those cultists! :-*

Reminds me of an ironic black metal band my mate Marc's into...

Think Kitsune knows the one!
