On this sunny morning of Easter Day 1921, former Oberstleutnant von Klaw from the Schutztruppe in German East Africa and some friends decide to go for a hunt in this little island, not far from the place on the Javanese coast where they retired themselves few years ago. The friends of von Klaw are the Major Zimmerman from German East Africa, the Rittmeister von Klewitz from the East Asian cavalry and the Vize-Feldwebel Schultz his former ordnance.

After a short travel by boat, they finally arrive on this small piece of land, lost in the Indian Ocean. They check their weapons and begin their trip under the luxuriant vegetation of the island.

After a few minutes of a difficult walk in the jungle, they are arriving to a little pond, when suddenly, they stop. Something is mouving among the thick bushes near the water.

While our friends are preparing their rifles, a big squamous head with little cruel eyes and numerous razor sharp teeth appears from behind the shrubs and slowly turns towards them.

Then, quick as lightning the monstruous saurian, jumping and running, charges the little group.
This is too much for Zimmerman and von Klewitz who run away from this cursed jungle.

Meanwhile, Schutz and von Klaw, cold-blooded as the reptile facing them, raise their rifles, aim and fire. The shots resound loudly, and, after the smog clear away, the body of the saurian lies on the ground, two bleeding holes in the chest and one in the head.
After a mouthful of schnapps to recover and a photograph of the trophy, our two courageous hunters are ready to continue their exploration of this mysterious island.
