:-* :-* :-*

Which of the crew is next in the queue?

Senior officers, midshipmen, Royal Marine command, and about another half a dozen tars with muskets and cutlasses. Should take me to almost 60 men  :)

And so, after a considerable pause in revictualling and pressing new men aboard HMS Dolphin, a few more hands are added to the complement.
Not least 'Unlucky Jack' Spoons - master and commander of the plucky Dolphin, aided and abetted by his favourite Midshipmen, plus a few more tars...

The Captain and his lads are from the Brigade Games Napoleonic range; the other three are Royal Navy Maori Wars era sailors from Empress - all sculpted by Mr Hicks, and amongst his best I reckon. I've fiddled the tars' hats with some Green Stuff to give them a more battered, less regular appearance.

My landing party now stands at 48 officers, men and marines, plus three guns.
I have at least another half dozen figures prepped to add to this company, hopefully, in time to meet the Mexicans with British guts, shot and steel, in about three weeks time  :o  :o

Is it enough, Nick? Is it enough?  ;D

Phenomenal Work! I particularly like your use of various shades of white that really add a sense of materiality to the clothes and equipment. You can tell what's leather, what's cotton/linen, and what's wool. I am soundly impressed, and hope my navy figures turn out somewhere even remotely close to this good!

[edited for spelling. Was a bit excited when typing...]
