ahhh May the 11th ! for some reason i thought it ended sooner !!!

7th is the closing date, 11th winners announced....if there is an extension to consider now would be the time to ask so I can change it now. I would like to allow everyone a fair chance so I would not object to adding a week.

Cool! I am looking forward to seeing what people can come up with and show their creativity!

I think my table ended up having like 6 items of scenery roughly one for every 1x1 if large, smaller items you could go more...I wanted to block LOS so the shooters would not have a duck shoot but not give a huge advantage to the hand to hand based figures either...

Just to show that you dont need so much, here is a simple set-up using just the em4 farm and a couple of hedges and trees.

The green area is the standard 3x2 board size.

You could, of course, add a few small elements for flavour. Boxes, barrels etc...

The small board size is another great aspect of the game.
You can play on just about any kitchen table.

Yea, I was thinking of finding a 2x3 cork board or something to build as a topper. Then buy some 1x1 tiles or something to build into interlocking, the problem is to figure out how to get them to lock together.

Mason, if you don't mind me asking, are all 3 farm buildings connected by the two smaller wall pieces or are they 3 separate buildings that can be put together?  I have been tempted by the farm a few times but would prefer that they were not connected to offer a little more variety.

Thanks

Aen

Aen; They are separate.
It is a fantastic scenery set, in lots of different ways.
I will put a review on my Strange Aeons thread tomorrow, so as not to derail the contest thread.

Do the roof tops come off? Or are they solid?

Can we write our own scenario for the contest, or does it have to be from the book?

Thanks!

If you have your own, that is fine. Creativity is one of the elements I am judging among other things.  ;)

Should be something out there at a LGS, friends or make yourself for a low cost if on a budget.

I just sent emails off to three more possible sponsors for this...any ideas on who the three bands that I asked to throw some swag into the pool? If even one says yes, it will be very cool!

The problem is, that there are no LGS here...the one that existed died long ago. I'll probably only need some trees and maybe I can borrow them from my brother. By the way, I'm a completely useless terrain builder...even a simple square building is too challenging for me. Don't worry, I'll think of something.

Toy stores! They are my favorite spot to find terrain. My wife cringes when I go to any store that has toys and I start picking up things. She says she can see the wheels turning in my head trying to figure out if I can use something or not..
