Info needed on a 6 wheeler lorry

Dear LAFers

I have always fancied doing up one of the Dinky WW1 six wheelers I have. I spotted some very similar looking vehicles in a ww1 diorama in the National War Memorial Museum in Canberra on my last visit. See the rather dark photo below:



I think they are Thornycroft lorries. Can anyone enlighten me further or even provide a few shots?

Got the WW1 bug now!

Look like Thornycroft to me too, but at night.

Here's the old Dinky I am going to use.

They certainly have, both in tandem and side-by-side as well as ten-wheelers with a pair of double wheels at the rear. I'm not sure when they might have started though maybe ask Big Al via; http://www.users.totalise.co.uk/~thetyke/id37.htm

Of course there's was a fair bit of modification after vehicles left the factory, so you could get away with it, or just invent a variant to foil any rivet counters
