Yep, buildings are Hovels...

One of our sculptors though is Battle Works Studios.  He also has a very nice line of Russian Buildings.  I'll try and get pics posted along side the game galleries.

Brent, maybe I just missed it and you already stated this, but do you have any idea what the train will cost... erm, I mean how much are we humbly obliged to donate you for the honour of getting one of those beauties?  :D

I put my order in already. It's really sharp looking and the flat bed cars look like they will be dead easy to convert or add things to!

I thought the Hovel's ones are much smaller

Sorry for this late one: I have some of those russian houses, and they seem much more to 28 mm scale than the Hovels arab bulidings. Very nice size. I may need that church, too...  ;D

Just ordered mine!  :D Not a bad price, overall.  Added a couple of extra flats plus the various modules.  Wonder if we could eventually get a set of train crew to go with it? Anybody know anything about modelling the gun turret in the first gondola?

Will anyone in the UK be carrying the train?

Crew would be nice, for the beginning I think some of the seamen from brigade or pulp have to do.

The one with the shovel is best, but top center would be a good chouice, too.

I got these (originally not ment for railers), for siberian winter they'll do ;)

I also ordered the Russian Command Set 2, thinking the circled figure might work as a crew type.  Possibly, you could also use the second officer with the cigarette.

I know Pete already put a link up, but here is the entire post below from my newsgroup and the news stories. I am also working on getting some scale track so that those who want can add a piece or more to their order. We will also be adding a bunch of customization items for the train (turrets, etc). Anyone who pre-orders will be able to add any of these new items to the order as long as it is done prior to us shipping.

---

The CompanyB Armored Train (1/56th) PREORDER is up in the webstore.

Main delivery is by the end of the month. I may get some trickling in before then. It is in
the caster's hands at the moment and he is shipping direct to me once castings are
complete.

http://www.brigadegames.com/go.mvc?ID=BGHMSIE

I have added a special on the Engine/Tender and 2 flatcars as well as one with come
Brigade Russian Civil War packs included.

Order early to avoid disappointment as we have estimated the quantity needed for the first
production run and do not have a lot of time to adjust our numbers should demand be
more than we anticipate.

Remember - with preorders the entire order will ship together.

Best regards

Just in case people haven't noticed...Brent from Company B has announced two more cars for the train - an MG car and a Turret Gun car.
Dang! I thought I had my train already complete!
Also, Lon has his trains inbound and expects to start shipping them next week! :D I don't see this order sneaking by customs, though! :(  I've been very lucky that way, lately, even getting an order worth about $250 and weighing at least five pounds shipped straight to my door.

Armoured trains were mostly log powered rather than coal, I'v read.  What do I use for logs?  Twigs?  If so which tree/bush provides likely types?  If not what?

Since my train will be built as a diorama piece, I will be laying my own track instead of buying readymade.  The question is, does anybody know what weight of rail the Russians used?  ???  I know about the 5' gauge but I can't seem to find any reference to the actual rail.  I'm thinking about buying S Gauge Code 83, which is equivalent to about 85 pounds, but I'm wondering whether I should get Code 100, which equals roughly 110 pound rail.  Code 83 will probably look better, visually, even if it turns out to be a bit lightweight, though.  (Also posted in Open Talk)
