Looking really great Andy :-* :-* :-*
It has really come together.
One thing I would do though is give the board pink foam edges a coat of paint, just to finish it off.

Its on the to do list; I agree it makes the board look finished.

I spent today finishing some models. The chap in the fez is my latest paintjob. I'm proud of him, I think he shows just how far my skills have developed (I've still got a hell of a long way to go, but I can at least put these models down on the table without feeling ashamed!)

The other two models are repaints, I painted them a good while ago. I didn't do too much other than touching up various chips and adding a final layer of highlights.

^Oops just noticed the pistol needs work; how could I have missed that?!?!

^Still not happy with the torch... If anyone had any tips and or techniques I'd be greatful.

Ok so those pictures show up the uneven nature of the board... I think I added too many small 'rocks' to the gloop mix. Hmm. Not so good.

Cheers
Andy

EDIT I tried a new basing technique... I'm not satisfied with it. I gave the bases a wash of smokey ink and then drybrushed. I don't think I'll try this again. Still the clumps of grass work!

Lookin' good. :)

If you want a blacksmith figure in a fez, who could pass as a pulp Egyptian then Westwind do one in the Gothic horror/Vampire Wars range. He is in the villagers pack.

Last post for tonight from me. I bought these palm trees from ebay... a fiver including postage. Don't get my wrong they took about a month to arrive and are cheap glossy plastic. But I think with a little work they look the business!

All I've done is drybrush the trunks with GW Bestial Brown followed by GW Kommando Khaki. The leaves where give a liberal dry brush of GW Camo Green (first use I've ever found for this colour!).

And yes I know know what people mean when they say that Silflor is addictive! It seems that I'll need to get some larger sized stuff for terrain.

I totally forgot about him! Yet another good excuse to put in a Westwind order... especially since my next project is going to be Gothic Horror.

This one for everyone who doesn't know.

Jonas and I ordered about 80 palm trees off ebay a week ago.. all the same 18cm size though. I guess we could always cut some off them to make variation. I'm quite happy to see how you've made them look. Makes me think I made a good investment.  :D
