Edward VIII: The Plot to Topple a King
« on: May 11, 2012, 12:21:37 AM »
I hope that this hasn't been posted elsewhere. Just found it and thought it might be of interest to some of you. Haven't watched it yet so I don't know if it's any good.

A documentary called Edward VIII: The Plot to Topple a King.

I thought it was very good . I certainly gave me more insight into the political ramifications of the time .

What struck me the most was the striking resemblance of the young Archbishop Cosmo Gordon Lang to Mel Gibson . lol

No, Mel Gibson only makes anti-English films. He'd be playing Edward :)

I did find it quite interesting although I'm not all that up on the whole VBCW yet. Just bought The Concise Source Book today at Triples to try and bring me up to speed. Very late to the party though.
