Some of my SA stuff (ready for demo games)
« on: 11 May 2012, 02:02:36 PM »
I finally got time to start painting my Strange Aeons figures...
I took the pictures with my tablet so they are not so great and the colors look 'blocky'. I've got to find my good camera!
First up is Manic Manny, the suicide cultist of the "Order of the Ever-Embracing Tentacle" that I converted.

Next is Fez, the Cairo black market weapon merchant and part time agent.
The second photo is with a stat card I made to make things easier for players on future demo days.

I gotta find that camera :D!

Lovely! Nice cart too!

Good stuff, I like the card you did. What software did you use? I was thinking of doing something similar.

Great stuff, Ithaquatini!
 :-*

Nice paintjobs and a lovely conversion.
I like the cards idea, too. It will certainly make things easier to keep track of.

Thanks for the comments!
I made the card in Microsoft Word, it was pretty simple, the font I used was Rough Typewriter.  I  printed it on a blank 5"x8" index card.  I was going to use a smaller index card, but this is a good size for me, the writing is easy to see, and the card just slips into my printer so its easy to print.

Here is the card for the suicide cultist. Bob Murch miniatures has a similar posed cultist with no weapons that Im going to turn into my second suicide cultist.  His figures with just the hoods that are in street clothes (set PWM6) are going to be 'henchmen' assigned to the cult.
As for the cards, Threshold has a maroon highlight bar at the top, the cultists have a green bar, and the other monsters will probably be purple, to help pick them out of a pile of cards quickly.  I put all the relevant skills/special definitions on the cards so you don't have to search through the rulebook in the middle of a game.

"Manny, he seemed like such a nice boy...but he did like to play with firecrackers"

Good looking figures do far. I also like the cards. :)

Here are some Scenes of Horror for my Sentinel Hill board... (sorry about the poor photo quality)
The Meat Shack (#1 Scene of Horror)

Blitz and Icky hanging out by the Mysterious Idol  #2 (I think the altar stone needs some dried blood).  The Lost Crypt #3 can be seen in the background.

And here are some of the gang just hanging out by the abandoned barn

And some of my Malifaux minis I might use for SA, though they may be a bit large.

Great stuff!

Love the Meat Shack and the extra work that you have put into the Malifaux figures is top notch.

Wow awesome scenery.  I'd prefer the bases to be less obtrusive, but I suppose with the names written on them it's really easy to know where and who everyone on the table is!

Very nice stuff! I really love the Meat Shack, it has a bit of a Degenerate Hillbilly feel to it...you'd expect a chainsaw wielding maniac suddenly storming out of the door.
