Belial Master of the Deathwing
« on: 15 May 2012, 10:28:38 PM »
Next on the menu is Belial Master of the Deathwing as a present/favour for a mate, although it is also good practice for me for another upcoming project a symbiotic relationship of sorts.  If it is good enough I will try and pester Neil to let me take him to germany........the mini not Neil, but it is more a quick test than my going to go overboard with it :D

Sum of this evening work

Whoa.

The style is SO clean. Do you find that painting the faces first helps?

Thanks pal.  I always do, not sure why, maybe I like to give the model a soul or something, who knows.........I am odd

Whats ominious mate?  Infinity models are lovely, reckon I could paint them like a SofaB................if only I had the time to do all the painting I need/want to do :D

Right well I have worked on the bone power armour, my first ever attempt at bone power armour and it required a redo as I seriously over thought it and complicated it to a point I wasted 4-3 hours, but I think I came to a decent remedy.  I have also started to base the metals, iconography and other general embelishments

All hoods and shadows....ominious! ;) Those DA's, always mumbling in dark corners, playing with jawas, hunting fallen, that kinda thing! ;)

Well you can practice painting my infinity stuff if you like, no charge of course! ;)

Lovely Deathwing personality here, looking forward to the completed bone terminator armour.

might be just a weird camera angle?

lol........no........no time :P

Couple of mates (phenominal painters the pair - who make me look ordinary) had a look Belial and gave me some feedback which I have appliedl, although I think I might add a few more glazes to the lower part of the armour.

As always, I really like your style Dee. And I have a soft spot for terminators and dark angels, so I'm delighted :D

Painted the glass vial on his belt, finished off all the metals and painted the crux terminatus.......

had a few creative problems with the thunder hammer, I tried a sort of cracked lava effect but it looked weird, perhaps poor execution
