Mother Russia strikes back
« on: 16 May 2012, 04:21:51 PM »
Like many other wargamers I was drawn into the hobby by GW, although I never played a lot of Warhammer Fantasy or 40k- didn’t liked the system very much - I liked the miniatures and the background but never managed to paint up a whole army. After nearly a decade I was sick of it all and pretty close to quit the hobby when a friend of mine sparked my interest in historical wargaming by showing me the napoleonic russians in the Foundry catalogue and I fell in love with them.

So here is what I have painted in approximately ten years, with lots of breaks of course.

Line Infantry:

Artillery Batteries:

Dragoons & Cossacks:

Militia:

Jägers:

Grenadiers:

Generals:

A great collection. Lots of consistency in your painting and basing too given the ten year period you have been working on this project. :-*

Thank you!
Talking about consistency, I've did a little cosmetics to the older bases ;)
Also with a close up you might find some differences but overall I think it works well and I'm satisfied with the result.

Lovely, Tellus!

I especially like the Grenadiers, but to be quite frank they all look very nice!

A great looking army!

Which means, of course, that you don't have enough and need many more...  ;)
