Wargames Factory Samurai - Painted
« on: 23 May 2012, 01:43:15 AM »
Hello,
Here's a link to Wargames Factory's Facebook page, which shows some pictures of the plastic samurai I recently painted for them. Started right after the LPL ended. The sashimono have custom made decals depicting the Date family mon.

great paint job the figs look great when painted up, poses are a bit stiff but the paint job really brings them to life

Thanks!

The standing legs are stiff, and some of the katana arm combinations are also awkward. I was really surprised and pleased with the yari poses though. Honestly, for a group of samurai for larger battles I would pretty much use only yari anyway, so the WF samurai plastics are definitely an option on the table for large battles.

Looks good!
What size are they? About the same as their vikings?

Very nice painting (as one would expect  :)8) :-*

I'm still not overly keen on these figures though, there's something toy soldier about them  :?

cheers

They look great!

BTW, where did you get those trees?  They're spiffy.

Thanks for the comments all, appreciated. The trees are scratchbuilt and previously showed up in some of my LPL entries. I have full intentions on doing a tutorial which I will add to my Arboreal Extravaganza thread. I'm staying in NYC until the end of the month, so it won't be posted for a few weeks :p

When it does, I'll post here so those interested don't miss it.

Your work is, as always, spectacular.  The figures look great framed by your trees.
