In our previous game we left Don Armando as he had just saved the day and retrieved the king's letters. Next thing on his schedule was naturally to transport said letters back to said king.
On his way though Armando decided that he needed a little spiritual lift and went in to a church in a small hamlet on the way.
And here our story picks up again. Because the infuriated Marquis would not suffer Don Armando to get away just so easily. An employee of the Cardinal he quickly dispatched several guardists to track down Armando and make him regret his defiance.
While Armando was in church getting straight with his Lord the cardinal's guard was outside of the church waiting to surprise him...
Scenario: EscapeArmando has to escape the board back to the main road to the king's castle. Hidden on the board are some special story encounters that will turn the table quite a bit hopefully. Initially Armando doesn't feature in the game (still praying) but at the each turn a d10 is rolled and when the sum of these d10 equals 10 Armando is done. Meanwhile the guard is of course able to manouver closer to the church and gang up on Armando.

The initial setup.

And at the end of turn 1 Frede rolled a 10 and thus Don Armando sprang forth from the church

One of my guardists then took an encounter marker and it turned out that Don Armando had not been as busy praying in the church as he had given pretence. A local girl in the fashionable undergarments of the day came out of the church door shouting 'wooohoo doooon Armaaaandooo'.
Now obviously Don Armando was in quite the rack now.. if the cardinals men were able to take this woman before the local church father, the cardinal or any other ecclesiastical person his entire career would be at stake! Damn my manners, he thought to himself!

On a promise of a luxurious life back at his estate Armando managed an opposed BR(ain) test against the lady who wilfully followed him after that.

The guardists proved easy to dispatch! They fighting skills were no match for the Don!

Their numbers were superior though

As if things couldn't get any worse the myopic vicar suddenly came out of the back door of the church shouting 'Who have left these clothes in my church?! What's been going on? I demand an answer!
The poor thing was very hard of vision though and would have to get in actual base contact with the girl to sort out what had been going on. Needles to say IF that happened Don Armando's days in the service of the king would be numbered.

Out of the blue another road faring servant of the king stopped by the scene and chose to help out Armando. His name was Arthos. Originally he had just wanted to go by the (popular) church to make a prayer, but as he saw the guardists he knew instantly to side with Armando whatever his felony.

Next a local sheppard and his herd.. or at least his herd rampaged through the place. Everywhere was fighting, guardists, servants of the king and sheep!
If anyone was unlucky enough to get within 1'' of a sheep though need to make a dodge test not to trip over the unruly beasts.

Armando was still fighting brave as ever

A misjudged charge to him (and her) within 1'' of a sheep after which they both promptly fell over.

The guardists were unable to take advantage of it and he was quickly back on his feet again

The character on board which Armando dreaded the most - the blessed vicar - was getting dangerously near

But luckily Arthos managed to push a guardist right in his direction which caused the poor man to topple over given Armando a few extra seconds.

Unfortunately next he got the same in return from the gaurdist and fell over...

And the preacher man was on the girl like flies around shit
