I was thinking they should do 3D floor tiles complete with walls as part of the Kickstarter.

The extras got things rockin' and rollin' for a bit. I really wish I had the $60 to buy two sets of the plastic terrian bits.

I know it's not a popular idea but I hope if they continue with more 'pop culture archetype' survivor characters we get not-Barney Fife as a Security Officer third class, a not-Dr. GordonFreeman with a sledge hammer or fire axe (crowbar is too close), and some not-3 Stooges as scientists. Maybe Sam Elliot as a heavy gunner with a cowboy hat would be fun too.

Or alternatively don't buy the game?
That is a very probable end result. I still haven't been able to think of a use for the Strain minis that I could actually, like, use.

I'll prolly buy the Samaritans once (or if) they ever become separately available at a price that is not completely over the top per figure.

I have no real use for half the stuff I buy.

Hell, it's a rare event if I actually do play any games at all.

But, stuff like this makes me happy, so I indulge my little obsession.

New stretch goals announced, and now the 'glow in the dark' pack is offered.

Have to say, this is the first thing that doesn't really interest me.  I like the SOLO Campaign idea, but glow in the dark figures at 50 bucks doesn't do it for me.  Espcially how painting them would ruin the idea.  I'll pass on that.

Still hope some folks like it and push us past the 270,000 mark!

Looks SO good.  I'm not sure I can afford to for another week or so, but man I really want to get in on this one!

So how does this work?

If you pledge $110, you get the biohazard box and the Dr Susan Ridley mini?

A tad confused because there is no Dr Susan Ridley option on the pledge list.

Yeah you pledge $110 and the $100 lets you select a Biohazard set as a reward. The other $10 just sits there. Then, after Jun 30 when the kickstarter "vests"  CMON or Studio McVey  send you a "kickstarter survey" after Jun 30 and you choose what you want to do with your extra $10 from a list of available options. (In this case, so far, those choices are the 'Ridley and Strained Ridley' figures or a set of strain and vanguard dice.). You send them your selection of Ridley, and then the send you your Biohazard (box set and extra figures and dice) by November and they send you Ridley in March of next year.

Also, remember that no money will change hands UNTIL the Deadline is met.

Since they've surpassed the original goal, the money definitely will be paid, but not until the June 30th date.

So, if you plan on doing it anyhow, there is no sense in waiting.  Pushing the total up now just gets us closer to the next stretch goal.

I'm hearing a lot of grumbling about the Lights Out Pack. It's not for me, but then I'm getting "We've Got Movement" so I'm already drowning in plastic at this point. I'm in for $200 so far (including Ridley) and looking to maybe go in another $60 for two sets of the plastic terrain.

So if the "Lights Out" pack is not as attractive for at least some of the people already in the door and watching their promised collections grow and a grow with a gobbet of slobber running down their chins, then who is $50 "Lights Out" Pack extra really for?

I suspect the REAL purpose behind the $50 "Lights out pack" is to provide a STEALTHY a way for people who bid at the $10 minimal level(signed print!) and the $25 level (print and a resin mini) to get a $50 extra that lets them collect a sampler of 26 of the cool figures from the game all for a somewhat lower price than the $80 board game.
(31 or 32 figures including the Vanguard heroes if the $240,000 stretch goal is reached, that would be $1.92 a figure without the goal being and $1.61 or $1.56 a figure if it is reached, depending on whether an Opticamo Barker Zosa is included. Both are pretty good prices for the plastic gaming figure industry.  )

If you you don't want to pay $80 and aren't all that interest in the board game itself but still want to get some McVey figures this might be a good way to go. People who don't want to buy in at $80 can now Buy in at $60 and still get a decent range of stuff to paint and play with.

It's aimed at people who want more than the $10 or $25 level provides but still can't pull the trigger on $80. And the clear and glow in the dark stuff is just bonus for people who don't paint. It's a new middle level of involvement.

I'm OK with the lights out stretch goal.  I mean they can't include extra minis with EVERY stretch goal and still make this work.  I am however excited about the exta campaign itself.  With these type of hybrid boardgames the replay value is finite out of the box.  For me anything that keeps the game fresh and interesting is welcome.  The fact that it is a solo campaign is cool but secondary for me.

I'm not a fan of it, because I don't see any point whatsoever in glow in the dark figures. Who's going to play the game in the dark? It's a gimmick too far. Zombies! also did packs of glow in the dark figures which were pointless.

The Optical Camo Vanguard however I can see many uses for in other games etc and I have a desire to paint a 'mid-cloak' figure or two. Like in the Predator films when he steps in water. If you could just buy them I might be tempted.
So many projects..... so little time.......

They sell glow in the dark acrylic paint in multiple colors and also black light glow paints (though they tend to be water based tempuras).

Glow in the dark plastic really isn't needed for glow in the dark figures.
