If anybody wants to irresponsibly blow a lot of money on THI suits we are now only $11,300 from hitting the $300,000 stretch goal and getting Ms. Crazy boots in every Biohazard set.

Then on Saturday evening I can relax and go to sleep and put this mind-bending ultra-commercialization of my weak pysche behind me.

Oi, I resent that! Every grrl knows the best boots for combat have high heels and who are we to stop women from dressing for themselves?

Anyhow, the statistics told me yesterday was the best day so far (prolly 'cuz of the Wired news item, of course) and so if the BFA project just gets two more average (or even clearly below average) days then all those who have taken the 'hazard can expect to get a flower in the mail sometime next spring.

ETA: I do believe they just broke the $600,000 limit. Only a measly $13,000 or so pledged today so far tho :P

One starts to wonder where all this money is coming from already... Is it sure to be real pledging and not "make this look big but withdraw at the last minute" fake pledging similar to owner ramping up the price at an eBay auction?

"Vanguard forward operators often find themselves adapting to "close encounters." Akosha has decided to switch up to full kick-murder wetwork gear! Ready to get surgical on some Strain mutant freaks? She is.

Every Biohazard set gets the battle damaged version of this deadly cyborg if we hit this stretch! Ships March 2013, unpainted and unassembled."

Shot up terminator lady. With hairy pits. The message is "Back to nature" I guess?

a little bit of pit hair never discouraged me, but the lack of skin a defiant turn off. lol
I take it she is the chewed up, close-combat version of the Vanguard sniper.

That she is. I had no idea that Akosha is a cyborg (or do they mean "android" perchance?), I don't think it's all that clear from the basic model. But then again, I (luckily) don't have that one yet so I've never seen it in the "flesh".

ETA: as of a minute or so ago, the statistics page says the pledge is at $648,195 (and trending towards an omnious $666,201 ;))... Also, yesterday was the best day for BFA yet. You can pretty much expect to get the girl without a complexion then o_o

Okay, Akosha is in the biohazard box...again...only with less face this time.   lol

Anyway the new Stretch goal with 38 hours to go or so is $700,000 (another $50,000 goal).

" Morgan has decided to one up Akosha, and suit up in full Wildfire bio-hazard gear. Environmentally self contained for the most destructive of outbreaks, the suit provides enhanced protection from the strain infection. Armed with an incinerator, scanner, and advanced medpack, Morgan is ready to hunt the strain down and burn them out of Alabaster station.

If we hit this stretch, every Biohazard set gets Morgan all suited up! Ships March 2013, unpainted and unassembled!"

The current estimate indicates envirosuit Morgan will be the first one to go MIA.

The current estimate indicates envirosuit Morgan will be the first one to go MIA.

The Kickstarter took in $55,395 on June the 25th (24 hours), $47,390 on the 26th, $56,958 on the 27th, and $57,888 on the 28th.

And we have  38 hours to go. So it is doable. I think "The Trend" is based on the daily average across the whole campaign so far applied to the total time of the campaign. That average is $18,584 per day but includes quite a few slow days of $6,000 to $12,000.

Over the last four days the daily average was $54,407.75.

So it is an achievable goal unless we get no new backers and everyone in is already tapped out. Who knows. The rate could go up or stay the same or peter out. But the campaign "out-did " the rate required three days out of four this week by around $5,000+ a day, and came within $30000 of doing it on the slowest day.

Also supposedly these things typically speed up quite a but at the end. We'll see if this one follows the usual pattern or not.

Obviously the slow days at the middle of the campaign will need to have at least some effect. Don't have time to find out if they publish the statistical method by which they get to the estimate or not.

If the enthusiasm keeps at near the current level, $700,000 is definitely doable. But it just might peter out too. That said, I think the current pledge level for today is better than it was for yesterday at this time and it was the best of the entire project so who knows how far this will really go.

I'm more than happy with what I'll be getting in my Biohazard pledge. I'll be picking different stretch rewards than I'd initially planned but I think they'll be even better.

Multi-purpose sci-fi minis and a good looking game...I'm happy. Even though we have to wait until march '13. By then I might actually have some stuff painted, and it'll be like getting free stuff in the mail.

I'm pleased as punch over this, but has anyone considered just how many miniatures we are getting here? I'm really glad these things are coming out in plastic, because if they were metal the box set would be it's own lead mountain.

So you aren't happy you don't get to complain? ;)

Anyhoo, today's pledging broke $10,000 limit a little while ago. This is one insane Kickstarter project o_o

Oh, I think they will get to the goal. Close to $12,500 pledged today so far... Where do all these miniature/boardgame geeks with money come from ???
