Oh, I think they will get to the goal. Close to $12,500 pledged today so far... Where do all these miniature/boardgame geeks with money come from ???
The internet, my friend, the internet. It is a wonderfully scary place.

Are those last two figures "NOT" characters?  If so, I don't know the reference.  Can anyone shed some light here?

@ supervike:

No, they are alternative (more "embattled" versions) of the sniper and medic vanguard characters from the base game.

Yeah it's 'NBC Trooper guy with a flamer' , who had his own anime series , and did some work in zombie and alien sci-fi films. The other one is 'cute Robot Girl with her face knocked off who carries pistols and swords', who mostly did anime, and had a brief cameo in the terminator TV Series.    :D

I'm pleased as punch over this, but has anyone considered just how many miniatures we are getting here? I'm really glad these things are coming out in plastic, because if they were metal the box set would be it's own lead mountain.

Yep.  If you just purchase the base game, it's up to 50 figures.  If you go for the biohazard pledge, add in another additional 48 figures (excluding Morgan).  Then tack on however many extras your purchasing.  However they won't come all at once.  I count that 15 of the biohazard rewards are listed for next March.

Here's the list I put together for the base game:

Kara
Morgan
Akosha
AI Drone Tank (50mm)
12 x Samaritan with Laser Rifles
2 x Female Grenadier
2 x Male Reaver Heavy
2 x Female Lancer Special
7 x Phase 1-1 Big Arms
7 x Phase 1-2 Claw Hand
4 x Phase 2-1 Stalker
4 x Phase 2-2 Quasimodo
2 x Phase 3-1 Scythe Witch
2 x Phase 3-1 Brimstone
1 x Phase 4 Grendlr (50mm base)
1 x Phase 5 Cthonian (50mm)

And my list of the biohazard reqards:

A print of the cover art signed by Mike McVey
1 x Special Edition Kara Figure In Resin
Vanguard Patch
12 x Additional Vanguard Figures
12 x Additional Strain Figures
Downloadable "Quarantine" Campaign
Downloadable "Lights Out" Campaign
3 x Additional Custom Vangaurd Dice
3 x Additional Custom Strain Dice Dice
2 x Additional Phase 3-1 Scythe Witch
2 x Additional Phase 3-1 Brimstone
How To Paint DVD
1 x Additonal AI Drone
1 x Phase 4 Grendlr (50mm base)
1 x Phase 5 Cthonian (50mm)
6 x Baby Drones (March 2013)
6 x Bonecrabs (March 2013)
1 x Keegan Kor (March 2013)
1 x Jada Lily (March 2013)
1 x Akosha, Battle Damaged Cyborg (March 2013)

Obviously the slow days at the middle of the campaign will need to have at least some effect. Don't have time to find out if they publish the statistical method by which they get to the estimate or not.

Well the thing is the whole campaign is multimodal. It's really several piecewise functions based on input variables that change from day to day (offering prizes). A single linear or exponential trend for the whole thing is not going to predict the last third or fourth or tenth of it very accurately. Every section of it has worked differently. Unless you are at or very near a transition(singularity or inflection) between piecewise functions the rates closer to the point you want to predict probably more useful in making predictions than the using the average daily rate of growth for everything so far.

As of 2:35pm US Central (GMT -6) the total is at $692,900 with about 8 and half hours left in the day as Kicktraq counts it.

Alternate Morgan Vade with the Wildfire HAZMAT suit has just joined the Biohazard party.

The $700,000 stretch goal has been dealt with harshly. It will trouble is no more. 24 hours to go.

"... stupid zombie Strain... grrr...

Close combat with the Strain is lethal, so Kara has decided to upgrade to her personal suit of Gnosis power armor. Built for extreme combat - with a self contained environmental envelope, internal medical systems, and enhanced tac-net connections - the Gnosis is the equalizer that the Vanguard will need if they're going put a stop to the Strain's malignant expansion."

Great googly moogly!  That sure is pretty.

Unfortunately I have given all I am going to give so it will fall to others to make this one happen.

That sure is some spiffy looking armor. Maybe I actually do need that terrain pack.

Well, screw it....I thought I was done putting in, but after scoring some overtime and some extra birthday cash, I'm upping my pledge considerably.

I'm even getting me one of those 'battlebags'.... :-*

Maybe just one teensy thin little THI for $15? Just one? Oh, sir, it's only a tiny, little, thin one. It's only wafer thin. Oh, sir, just-- just one.

Well, I finaly caved in.
after filling in my tax form and having a quick check what the impact of that should be on my finances, I decided to pledge $230.
Should give me all extra figs (not interested in the opticam/glow in the dark ones or the extra dice/tiles...)
