I think this is the first "extra" miniature from B4A-KS to be seen as anything other than a concept drawing:
http://www.beastsofwar.com/studio-mcvey/studio-mcvey-find-pilot-job/

Like it otherwise but making the wrench so oversized doesn't float my boat*. It was within limits of sensibility in the concept. It's nothing a little cutting & filing won't cure but still.

*) the BOW guy -- they seem to be very enamoured with steampunk right now -- liked it so mileages vary obviously.

And I'm so extremely sad that I skipped this one :(
The orphan-miniature is awesome!

By the way, I had to check the kickstarter page out again, just to torture myself a bit more.
I realised that Mike talks like Michael Caine...

They look excellent, although I think Lily's head is a bit big and butch...

Reading the comments on the KS, I see others feel this way too, but was saddened to see the fanboi reply "Well, I'd like to see you do better!". Seriously, this is a commercial product, and customers should be allowed to pass comment without the being hassled by somebody who'd literally buy anything SMcV released.   :?

I realised that Mike talks like Michael Caine...

Not of lot of people know that.  ;)

Everybody who cares of course knows that "Biohazard Wave 2" is currently shipping both from US and EU ends. Here's what to expect when your stuff does arrive (mine hasn't been even shipped yet or at least I haven't gotten a shipping notice):

Mine arrived yesterday - I'm not sure it's exactly as ordered (that long ago can't remember) but everything I wanted is there...I think. Crappy material and one of the figures is actually missing a foot (not broken off; "It looks melted") and lots and lots of flash and mouldlines.

Ouch....bad news from someone not known for hyperbole.  Is it at least the same "crappy" material as the first phase, or different?

Thanks

Thanks Dwartist.  I'm not going to say I love the restic material, but at least it's a known quantity for me and I can work with it (albeit with extra effort and time).

After assembling and painting the base set, I have to say that I'm happy with them, but I'm not sure that I can face painting any more.  I was finding bloody mouldlines right up to the end.

The terrain set still holds my interest (when it ships...), and maybe the drones and headcrabs, but the rest are going up for sale when I get them.

I finally got a system down where I would trim the lines on the parts, assemble the figure, trim some more lines that I found, prime, then trim some more that I missed, prime again, and last, ignore the ones I would find when painting.
