What a waste to get top class sculpters to produce some gorgeous minis, only for the idiots involved to get them cast up in this soft plastic crap that softens all the details so horribly and is such a gigantic pain the arse to clean up.

I finally got a system down where I would trim the lines on the parts, assemble the figure, trim some more lines that I found, prime, then trim some more that I missed, prime again, and last, ignore the ones I would find when painting.

You know... that sounds a lot like my experience  lol

...drones are quite nice though (not restic - plastic?)

I gathered from the McVey forums that the drones and terrain packs were standard hard plastic, not restic.

Meh, I find this a classic example of you get what you pay for.  If you take the "biohazard" pledge level, no extras and no shipping, that's $100 for 80 figures.  I can't speak for anyone else, but I certainly wasn't expecting top notch production quality for that price.

I've got to say that though they take extra time to clean up (which obviously I'd prefer not to do but they aren't the only company using restic so at least I'm used to it now) I'm extremely happy with the end results once painted.

It's the restic recasting, it shrinks models by 10% or so. Sculptors need to learn to sculpt around the size loss, until then you get...well...these

Got mine yesterday. Not impressed overall although there are some nice pieces in there. this material they are using has destroyed the whole setup for me

Mine hasnt arrived yet but i dont look forward to have to work with that material again. In the end i'm ok with what came out of the KS but i also wont invest much into a cmon product again untill i can get an actual look at the miniatures and the material.

These are such nice miniatures, i wish i could get them in a different material  :?.

I have to say, I do like some of the sculpts, but afgter reading the comments, I'm VERY happy I didnt invest.  CMON's stuff with Zombicide was quite nice and not a great deal of flash to clean at all.

I would normally say the anticipation of receiving the parcel outweighs the wait....not in this case  :(
