Victrix sell 28mm Napoleonic metals range to Brigade Games

Victrix are delighted to announce the sale of their complete 28mm metal range to Brigade Games in the USA. To all our loyal customers; rest assured that Lon Weiss at Brigade Games has ambitious plans to develop this metal range with sculptor Paul Hicks. Paul sculpted all our metals range and also sculpts Lon’s fantastic Early Napoleonic range also, so there will be complete compatibility between the two ranges.

Brigade Games will have a supply of the range at Historicon in a few weeks which will be the debut of the range under new ownership.

Once the transfer of moulds is complete and production has commenced Victrix plan to continue to sell this range of Napoleonic metal figures direct from the Victrix website. There are plans to work closely with Brigade Games on future projects.

Both myself and Steve wish every success to Lon in this new venture

Ok...
Any one know or wants to take a wild guess why?

Are they in need of money?
Do they want to shift into pure plastic?
Is this a way of joining forces like warlord and empress did on their Zulu war?
Do they need more room to accommodate their new Ancient Greek range?

Good to see that Paul Hicks exceptional talent will not be lost and the great sculpts he did for Victrix will still be available. Maybe Lon can entice him over to the States?

I had some vague idea they were too many projects in metal and plastic and wanted to focus on plastic. If it means Napoleonic French artillery at last and some form of cavalry I'd be happy, and I don't mean Greek cavalry. Whatever they do end up doing I hope it succeeds, regardless.

I believe it is because they are a small company (still just Julian and Steve I think) and they are a point that metal casting really needed to be brought in house.

It made more sense to concentrate on the plastics and work with another company who already produce metals.
