 lol

There was some talk of the S&S catalogue being released to the public under the 'thirty year rule'. Seriously one of the guys was saying that they intend to remedy this in the foreseeable future.

(I love the advert that tries to make the Morris Oxford look sleek and sexy - and fails, of course!):

What....?! It may not be sexy to you cool kids but to me, who learned to drive on one, steering-column mounted gear change and all, it is highly sexy - in so many ways.....!

But it is listed here on the Britannia Miniatures site.

http://www.britannia-miniatures.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=228_233&osCsid=be7f1f9266366d8b4e5992e2f74a7920

Beware, I believe the listing for 'Ferret', ain't really so, I'm sure it's their Daimler with the dustbin turret.

That's correct about the dustbin on Daimler. Be aware I ordered the Dustbin Daimler many moths ago and still have not received it even with a stack of e-mails to Andy.

Totally not impressed with this attitude.

Cheers,

Helen

I'm hoping to convert a plastic Green Army Man tank for use with them.
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

Thanks for the heads up Helen, I had been contemplating ordering their Saracen. I think I may steer shy now.

Carlos,

If you're happy going the diecast route, it's worth pointing out that Dinky also manufacture a quite respectable Saracen (search for Dinky 676 or Saracen on ebay). I can't provide a reference photo as my collection is in storage, but it seems to scale reasonably well with 28 mm miniatures.
Cheers,
Andy

Thanks Andy.

Yes I'm aware of the Dinky Saracen it scales pretty well with my Corgi Saladins. Turret needs replacement so I thought the Britannia one might be a shortcut and theirs does look very nice. Luckily it's a fairly easy shape for a plasticard substitute. Of course I coul always ask if Sloppy Jalopy would supply me with a couple of extra Ferret turrets.
