Not sure on the colors myself - but what figures are you using...I keep meaning to try and build up a force but would like to avoid the BTD figures as too pricey  :(

I watched spearhead from space the other night and can't remember. Think I did mine in an olive drab.  BTD have a 50% sale at least once a year on the Dr Who stuff

The MoFo Falklands range has a range of British troops in berets (or with beret head options), and the prices aren't too bad...

Don't recall the early UNIT troops wearing camo or helmets, but otherwise in standard British Army 1970's kit.
They will not force us,
They will stop degrading us,
They will not control us,
We will be victorious!!

I seem to remember them in OD trousers (very much the thin in the 1970s) and either jacket or wooley pulley I think

The answer to the Unit Camo questions may lie here...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UNIT
There is a section titled 'uniform' if you scroll down.

Make sure they're under-equipped:

"Ultra-secret elite force going into battle against deadly, weird aliens and/or robots with the planet's fate at stake?  Here, have some Stirling SMGs and frag grenades!  Don't worry about body armor or any vehicle heavier than a Jeep, we're sure you won't need those."

Well at the time Sterling SMGs, SLRs et al were about as good as it got in the British Army.

I used Mofo Falklands War Brits, with some Mongrel BAOR mixed in... I used some helmets to mix it up and figured they'd be like today's UN troops and have the helmet painted to match the beret.

I used Tamiya Nato Green throughout, with GW Snakebite Leather for the berets...

In the show, UNIT started out with futuristic uniforms in beige, but soon ended up with standard British Army kit. The special edition of Day of the Daleks, does have them in camo, and it's been a while, but think there were other instances of them in camo, but on the whole just olive drab will do it.

I shouldn't be snarky, they did have a tank in "Robot"... For all the good it did them.

AEG, those are amazing!  Especially the vehicles.

I did the same as AEG, probably as suggested by AEG way back when.
