The Crew of the Nomad
« on: 07 July 2012, 01:01:09 PM »
An old scavvy from GW recently finished. haven't painted a sci-fi/40k/non-wild west mini for ages as I have a very very slow output for painting anything. He was caught v.cheap on e-Bay and started a spate of modelling and farting about with various bits of plastic, green stuff and wotnot to create the crew of some sort of intergalactic smuggling operation. Hope fully more painted crew members will appear if/when i get round to painting the little buggers. Apologies for the slightly ropey photos.

Very nice job. he lloks seedy, disreputable and hard. Definitely not a guy you want to cross over payment for a shipment of reconditioned engine parts.

I thought the 'Nomad Front' was some sort of alliance of wanderers but perhaps not.

How did you do the base? It looks like decking, did you buy it like that or make it?

Its a resin cast base, I picked up a few on evil bay vv cheap so used them all up for the crew. Just painteb black dry brushed gun-metal then washed with devlan mud.

Very nice work man. A Rogue Trader with the emphasis on Rogue. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the crew.  :D

"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

I don't remember this particular scavvy sculpt at all, must have been brought out right when I was abandoning ship. I love his peg leg! Keeping track of this thread now, I'm excited to see where it goes.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. More crew will follow but my painting/modelling etc seems to go in fits and starts so who can say when the next member will appear. Hopefully sooner rather than later.   :D
