Converting EW French to EW Belgians
« on: 08 July 2012, 02:59:09 AM »
I wish to convert my EW Renegade French to EW Belgians. I would like them to wear the Shakos. I don't mind head swaps or "hat" swaps. Any ideas on what to do? Anyone sell a separate Shako wearing hat?

Thanks

No seperate shako's i know of.
What are you going to do with the gaiters, backpack, ammunition pouch, webbing and rifle?
all different in Belgium

Indeed… shouldn’t be easier to sell the French figures and buy some Belgian?

Brigade Models and Great War Miniatures have some.
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://tistaminis.com/

Thanks Carl. None of my Belgians have gaiters, rather boots and pantaloons. Some photos show backpacks, albeit not on the French pattern. Rifles? At my age the Mausers, Lebels and Comblains all look the same on 28mm figures. But, I'm getting the feeling that I can avoid some needless brain surgery on my models, if I sell them.
