Republic of Texas Army Units
« on: 21 July 2012, 03:49:47 PM »
Finished up flocking the first batch of my Texas Army units.    My VSF 1880 to 1899 campaign encompasses 2 rule systems thus far.  HotT/HotE for mass battles and FUBAR-VSF for skirmish.  All blogged at: http://wargamer1972.blogspot.com/

HotT: First up and first in the fight a bold Texas Ranger.

HotT: Next up a battery of the Victoria Light Artillery.

FUBAR: A squad of Texas soldiers from the 1st New Braunfels Rifles.  Led by Lt. Don Gobel.

"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

3 Texas Bushwhackers (Lurkers)
4 New Braunfels Rifles (Shooters)

1 Ranger
12 Soldiers

Are the bushwhackers and mounted infantry going to be painted the same as the regular infantry.

Yes for the MI, and probably the same for the Bushwhackers.  I am basing a lot of this on what little I've read, so far, about the Spanish-American War US Army.  Of course suggestions are welcome.  :)

More Texans.  A General, trumpeter, and 2 elements of infantry.
