They need basing and touch ups.

I think I'll darken their pith helmets as well.

The last two WIPs of my Brigade Games order.
I'm not terribly pleased with these two. They need a lot of touch up.
I tried to do a suggestion of tartan on the Highlander.
I'm really envious of you folks that can paint a nice tartan!

Not sure I understand the size of the bases though?? Seem quite large!

Hmmm. They are the same metal washers that I always use. Roughly 30mm.

Maybe they look big because they aren't textured and painted yet.

Do they scale OK with other stuff, do you know? I bought some Redoubt minis recently and they tower over my Artizan, Westwind and Ironclad sculpts, as well as the Wargames Factory plastics, and I don't want to make the same mistake again!
