Need some color help

These, Old Glory Assassin Acolytes 1 and 2, will be used a lot in my games but I can't come up with a decent color scheme.
Any help would be appreciated.

I would go with a mix of a color with black or grey. Use the color for accent (similar to the picture above and the figures in the first post).

So something like this
Black/Grey+ Green, Red, Purple (or some darkish color), I would avoid brighter colors.

I actually think the yellow/black color scheme can be really striking, but maybe the problem is how your yellow is coming out?  Check out this nice tutorial on making a warm yellow that might fit a bit better with the black:

I find it is nigh impossible to go wrong with green for the majority, and yellow for accents.  HYDRA, VIPER, Animated KOBRA, etc. etc.

That's my problem with yellow they will be going up against Crossover minions painted as Hydra.

Ah!  Okay, yeah that makes a diffgerence.  Are they other baddies, or are they some SHIELD derivative?

They are another bad guy faction, Asians of sometype, maybe Si-Fan.

Well, you could go white with yellow contrast, though with the other guy looking like Hydra, that may be too much yellow. How about white and a deep red or maroon?  White tunics and masks, and then the maroon for the detail and leggings?

I'd just re-paint all the yellow areas white instead. It'll contrast nicely with the black and also your ninja will be distinctive on the table against the hydra goons
