ah I see. I'm no expert on the matter. thanks for the info. unfortunately, there's nothing I can do about it now  :? :'(

The problem is that this type of jacket wasn't wear at the same time as this type of gaiters (IIRC). For that reason, there’s no "right" color combination… If I buy a box of these, I think I will paint them just like you did… oh, and nice work by the way 8)

And you wouldn't have seen any zouaves in that uniform after 1943, either.  Not even in North Africa ...

Very nice work.  I'm not convinced about the grenade thrower pose, by otherwise the figures are good, and the painting fine.
