Cp models 25mm Skraelings
« on: August 30, 2012, 04:27:07 PM »
We are glad to bring the Gladiator Games 25mm Skraelings back into production

Skraeling Warriors with spears

Figures designed with open hands & supplied with separate weapons, so they can be armed & varied as you wish & below is the background info from Gladiator Games

Skraeling was the Viking name for the Indian tribes they encountered during their attempts at colonising North America

Eric's saga records skirmishes with the Skraelings as being the reason the colonies were abandoned, "that although the land was excellent they could never live there in safety or freedom from fear, because of the native inhabitants"

Anthropologists have tentatively identified the tribes as Micmac and Beothuk Indians. Our range is based on these tribal types

Also managed to paint up this medieval scribe from our Historical personalities so thought I would post him too

Figures available from www.cpmodelsminiatures.co.uk

Good to see more pre-columbian natives.  Nice figs, too.

Nice, how do they scale up against the Gripping Beast ones?

Hope you don't mind but I've posted them on the saga forum  :D

These look nice.

Any indication as to quite how 25mm they are would be greatly appreciated.  :D

Hi guys glad you like them

Here's an ancients comparison picture I did for my site

From left to right Blacktree, Cp models, Crusader, Foundry, Newline, Immortal

Unfortunately I havent got any Gripping beast figures to hand to include in the picture but according to Gladiators original info they should be compatible with Gripping beast & Old glory, hopefully if you are familiar with the ranges in the picture it should help to judge the size of the figures

Hope this helps

Mark

Skraeling warriors armed with bows

Might have gone slightly overboard with the warpaint on the far right one
