Circle Orboros
« on: 11 September 2012, 01:51:12 PM »
Well, comming friday we`re starting one of those Journeyman Leagues at TSA, so I finally (after two years or so lying around here) been comming around starting to paint my Hordes faction:

Kaya and Laris:

I will be using the alternate `basic` Kaya in the beginning, but she still needs basing and varnishing

My 2 Argus guard dogs:

and my Warpwolf:

which has been professionally trained in "Kaya's Warpwolf Bootcamp"

Always liked Kaya, especially her basic version.  She got nerfed some in Mk 2 (no more spirit door assassination runs) but every new beast gives her new tools to work with.  That new-ish griffon is fascinating - long leash and innate stealth opens up a lot of possibilities, and it's gives Circle three(!) initial attacks off of a 4 point light warbeast.  At effective MAT 8 with pKaya, there's got to be some potential there.

Reminds me that I have a huge pile of primed Circle models that need paint so they can come out to play.

Kudos for that attitude.  Far too many Privateer gamers seem to think bare metal is fine on the tabletop.

I was thinking the same thing yesterday. They recently restarted the WM/Hordes league up at my shop. Every night I go in there are a half dozen or more folks playing games (most of them experienced players) and most of them seem to field primed or bare metal models only.

Brutal really. I know it takes time to paint stuff, but it's a lot more fun to play with finished models than not.
