Vicky the Viking - home at Flake! A viking homestory.
« on: 16 September 2012, 05:36:38 PM »
Way back in the seventies I loved to view Vicky the Viking, a cartoon series in television. And of course, the stories of wild norsemen, fearlessly roaming the oceans in their dragonboats have a certain fascination too. So when I saw the plastic model kit for the Viking ship made by Revell, I wanted to make a little diorama for it. So what to show in my diorama? Wild barbarian norsemen plundering irish monastries?

I think, it will be something more civilian. The home village of the vikings in Vicky the Viking is called Flake, something idyllic like that...So maybe the ship, the little village, normal life.

This is some work in progress, so  I will show some pictures during the building process.
