New opposition to Bolsheviks
« on: March 04, 2008, 10:02:06 AM »
Hi All,

Please note that Tiger Miniatures has released their first packs of Greek Infantry and Evzones. Although they are named as Balkan War figures, please note that they are suitable for the expedition against the Bolsheviks in Ukraine and Crimea in 1919.

Some units of Greek Infantry alongwith French fought against the Reds in Odessa. When they received the orders to withdraw they marched all the way to Romania in order to be picked up by sea vessels.

The infantry is depicted in kepi. There is also a pack of 1897 uniformed evzones as well as a pack of a more modern 1908 uniform.

I believe that this new range offers good potentials for skirmishes in the BoB era.
[Yes I know the actual theater of their operation is very far away from Central Asia, but I think that they are much useful]

Just a further note: These figures are also suitable for the Balkan wars 1912-13, WW1-Macedonian front, and ofcourse for the Pulp era.

We'll have them up for the U.S. market when we get back from Cold Wars... I think I'm going to paint the Bulgarians as bakers. I can't take the hats seriously. :)
