Looking for miniatures of bussinesswomen
« on: 28 September 2012, 11:42:47 AM »
Hi all

I'm looking for miniatures of bussinesswomen - without guns (and bikinis). They should only be armed with cell phones and/or laptops.

Suggenstions?

Copplestone Corporate Babes would need the guns snipping off, but that's easy enough.  His not-Rosa Klebb (in the "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" range) would also be useful.

There's an unarmed suited woman in one of Foundry's "Street Violence" packs, and a few others in that range who are wearing suits and only carrying easily removed pistols.

A number of the travelling companions in Black Tree Design's "Doctor Who" range could also be of use.

{Spelling corrected}

This does depend a bit on what is required of a miniature for it to represent a "businesswoman".

With that caveat, some of these might work even tho none of them have a mobile phone or a laptop:
* In the Doctor Who Companion vein, Crooked Dice has "Casual" May Killan: http://www.crooked-dice.co.uk/store2.html
* Excalibur has Sculder and Mully, of which the latter would probably fit the bill (after a hand swap) but as can be seen, she comes with some "package": http://www.excalibur-miniatures.com/shop/product_info.php?language=en&products_id=270
* Hasslefree has one or two than may be suitable: http://www.hfminis.co.uk/shop?category=miniatures~non%252dcoms-%26-civilians
* Reaper has Kelly, the Corporate Assassin that should work quite well after you swap the gun for a mobile: http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/business/latest/50071
* Statuesque's Havanna Grey needs a little more "polishing" to lose the robodog but the gun swap should be fairly easy: http://www.statuesqueminiatures.co.uk/online-store/havana-gray

In 28mm I'm assuming?

Black Cat Bases makes a few:

Female Civilian

Agent with Cell Phone (and a gun...)

There may be others under their Civilians and Townsfolk lines (or other lines...)

www.recreationalconflict.com makes four female civilians that can be armed or unarmed.  Look under Lead Bones single civilians.

Copplestone do some female reporters, they have microphones but I guess those could easily be converted to cell phones. Their attire is business like.
