Got mine yesterday. Looks great. First question- in the HPL black dossier rules say to not roll on the insanity table, but to roll on HPLs mood table. But then on the next page we are presented with his insanity table. How do we use those two tables together?

It's a bit of a complicated passage in HP's appropriately verbose tome of rules.  Whenever he fails a Resolve check, you roll on the appropriate Mood Table, place a monster (if so indicated) and then roll on the Lovecraft Insanity Table.

LMAO, thanks big man. I was worried! Now I'm worried about something else...my kid nailed 3/5 symbols pretty consistently where I am apparently ANTIPSYCHIC as I nailed precisely 1/5 four consecutive times. And the only reason I nailed the one correct one each time was that I knew which one was left on try #5!

Great release event at Trilogy last night! The store sold out of their copies of the new book and there were a ton of demo games played. I didn't run my Threshold list, but did help out by running a demo while the other table was full. It was a close game and lots of fun! Thanks to James and Uncle Mike for coming out.

Has Black Hat Miniatures received their copies yet?
He that trades Liberty for Security will soon find that he has neither.

I received mine in the mail last weekend after a weekend away with my wife. :)
Along with it was Morbid Adventures and 5 hard plastic psychic cards.

I was really thrilled to see the Black File: Return to Dunwich as it featured stats for the Avatar of Yog-Sothoth! Recently I assembled the Son of Yoggy from Tengu models, and being able to use it in such a fitting scenario is just awesome. :)

Question: On the Lovecraft mission if HP summons something but you cannot place it within the range rolled (or even the max range) due to some clever player spacing themself out, using a table edge, impassiable terrain, etc...do you just keep bumping out beyond to place the lurker or is it lost?

Reason I ask this is in other games there is ways to prevent something summoned from appearing.
