VSF Villains 2
« on: October 09, 2012, 04:49:05 PM »
Behold! It's Prof. Payne and his menacing mechanical man. Around the feet of this infernal terror you can see the Professor's henchmen, a nefarious rabble of ruffians. The figure in the cockpit is Jerry Cornelius from Citadel's Eternal Champions set. The henchmen are from Parroom Station's Masked Minion line. The mechanical man started out as a toy give away movie tie in from a fast food place. I aquired him at a thrift store. He's been repainted, had a deck added to the cockpit and had a boiler & smokestack added to the back. This post is to mollify Dr. Pete, to show him I understand the strain of being a Mad Scientist.

Here's a rear view shot showing the boiler I made from bits and bobs. The back of the arms and legs were hollow so I filled them with epoxy putty and added rivets to the shoulders for continuity.

I think I have one of those. You guys have given me plenty of inspiration. I guess now I am going to have to do something with it. Very nice work BTW.

What toy and what fast food place was it? I think I might need one of those!

Thank you for all your kind remarks gentlemen. To awnser FramFramsom question, the mechanical man was a McDonalds happy meal tie in with the movie Mega Mind from 2010. I aquired it from a thrift store's twenty five cent bin.

It looks EXACTLY like the bigger Mage Knight golems, only larger, which is why it caught my eye.

Well done.
Love that you took not a lot of stuff
and made it into something really cool.
