French Battery 1815
« on: 22 October 2012, 04:31:48 PM »
Hello again,

I fianally finished a battery for the frenchmen at probably Waterloo. All perry miniatures. A pain to paint so much blue, need some Line infantry or carabiniers for a break   lol
The little dioramas behind the guns are on seperate bases so you are not forced to field them on the battlefield. I did it to get more colour variation in the unit. There are little helpers from the administration, the line and light infantry as well as one infirmier soldier (why isn't he helping at the hospital? Can't he see the blood - I don't know, I liked the colour sheme.).

Please click on the pictures!! They will show in original size then!

Lovely work indeed. All you need to add now is a howitzer and you'll have the standard four-model battery.

Thanks for the comments :)

@Arthur: Oh well, yes, let's see. I don't know how the perry one looks like as they don't have a picture of it on the internet...

Nothing wrong with a bit of blue. And certainly nothing wrong with these beauties. Great work. Like the modular grouping idea. Look forward to seeing some less blue French soon. Cheers.

Very nice work indeed!!

Do you use the limbers and caissons at the same time on the table when you are playing a game?

Cheers,

Paul

Thanks for all the comments :)

@PAULSPENCE: Well, actually yes. In some ruleworks you need a spare space behind your guns. Or if you don't place any unit behind your guns, you can use these too fill up the battlefield :)
