Mongoose Skyhook Dropship and Tanker Bug

Perhaps old news to some, but it was new to me that these would be released:

Nice models. With the tough pound to dollar conversion, it makes ordering a little steep.

I know some guys who are crazy for SST and will probably try and get these. They will be steep though.

I used to have the Galoob ( micromachines) versions of both of these and they were bang onfor 28mm.
You can sometimes pick them up on Ebay reasonably cheaply.

Anybody know how Old Crow's Dropship compares in size to this one?

Here's a link to a pic of the Skyhook next to some 28mm figs:

Thanks!

I have the Old Crow one, and it's much smaller.

I can snap a pic if you'd like, but it's more along the lines of fitting with 25mm.

I planned on using it as a 'remote flying drone' which helps explain why it doesn't look like there is room for a pilot.... :?

so...the 'New' look is a walnut for a head? That tanker looks bad! The drop ship looks pretty cool but why pay so much for stuff for a game in limbo? You just know Mongoose will screw the pooch again on this game and you will be left to play fifth edition Imperial Guardsmen vs. Fifth edition Tyranids... :(

Uncle Mike I'd use it for other games--especially for my RPG's where I might use miniatures.

I might also use if for Rezolution games.
