I've printed off the 5 bar flag and the Republic battleflag. May look at something with Chinese characters/letters on it for the Bandits' standard [i have a plethora of Copplestone Chinese standard-bearers and by gad i'm going to use them!!]

Not a problem-you seem to be on the same journey that I started when I caught the BOB bug.  I would swear that there is another post on this forum on the subject of warlord flags, but I can't seem to locate it in 2 minutes or less

Apologies for the delay on this project team.

RL stopped play for a while. However, i'm back on my feet (or ar*e depending on your point of view as i work in an office)*

I've just finished reading Foreign Devils on the Silk Road and was chatting to the fellas yesterday evening. Next (game) up is an Archeological Expedition returning from the Takla Makan loaded with treasures via the Pamir range. That's dangerously close to Afghanistan and the Faithful have heard rumours of the defilement of their ancient holy places by Infidels. It could be messy!! It may, possibly, draw in regular British and Russian forces who are poised just waiting for such an incident as an excuse for a scrap.

*I may celebrate by buying a unit of Tibetan lancers or Mongols to complete my Chinese WL force (or at least the lead required)

You should buy them all .  And if you are using Ignatieff's rules, Mongols and Tibetans are irregular, so you need at least a dozen of each.

Bolshy and i are squeezing in a cheeky game of STEA tomorrow evening. An incursion by the Red Army into Afghanistan @192? The tribes don't like Infidels on their land, especially if they won't pay!

We'll bung on what we have between us and settle on a scenario

I appear to have acquired a unit of 20 Redoubt Boxers with swords/polearms. A tad early for my WL project but hey, cannon fodder peasants at 100 paces ...

5. 10 Chinese Cavalry
6. Executioner(s) with prisoners
7. 2 x HMGs
8. 1 x Heavy Mortar
9. 1 x Light anti-tank Gun
10. 20 x Chinese Bandits
11. 12 x Tibetan Light Cavalry
13. 10 White Russian troops
14. 2 x White Russian HMGs
15 White Russian Officers/Priest
16. Austrian Armoured Car
17. 20 Chinese Peasants with swords/polearms [pending][Exchanged to our Bandit player]
17. RT-17 Light Tank (awaiting delivery)

I think that little lot should give plenty of scope for options  

I also invested in some PMC adobe buildings which will do just as well for Kashgar as Afghanistan. And that lovely Chinese compound from Jim Bibbly

I may be short of an armoured train and carriages ...

I'm now ready to battle the project. Wish me luck, i'm going in!!

First up is finish the Chinese bandits as i have 10 painted 5 undercoated and another 5 on their way, then the 2nd unit of Chinese infantry. That should give me the core of the army then i can start to paint the good stuff

Chinese Bandits, Cossacks and British. 20 - 40 figures per faction.

I might combine at with "Plot Points" (or at least something similar) so as to avoid a straight shoot-out ....

Nothing wrong with them old chap, i have around 20 of the same and as long as they can get past the maxim guns, artillery and rifles they can be quite effective in close combat  .....having said that being irregular scum just giving them a dirty look tends to make them turn tail and run
