Orc Indians
« on: 02 November 2012, 12:07:17 AM »
I am trying to put together a force of 28mm Orc Indians, the North American type, Ral Partha had packs of wild orcs that I am using for bowmen and command but I need more troop types.
Baueda has prehistoric orcs but they are smaller than the RP and the face is different.
Any ideas?

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

What was the name of that game, just failed, Native orcs, the shamen looked like frogs?

A ha! Alkemy!

Kinda cool, and I think some shops were running great sales.

I like the Alkemy Aurloks - would definitely fit the theme.
I have a bunch of them- yet another 'someday' project  :D

Miniature Market has deep discounts on the older original items, and more standard skirmish-pricey for the newer items.

I've always suspected that Uruk-hai = Iroquois (you have to pronounce it Ir-ok-oy, rather than Ir-ok-wah, of course). Good to know the Orcish Hordes are to be found in new territories!

I dunno, red. I always figured Uruk-hai was just "High Orc"

I suggest getting some of reaper's older, almost naked orcs and giving them feather decorations and more fitting weapons.
They're simple, bare sculpts - thus they should be relatively easy to edit. A good couple of them are only wearing loin cloths.

Citadel Half Orcs - 80's style!

Not very helpful I know as it means scouring ebay and possibly forking out silly money for them but they are the best  :D
