Lovely lasses and ladies Tas, maybe you should take them on your six month adventure? Or few minis, couple of paints and brush (the paint type, not the tooth type) :)

Thanks everyone!  They were fun and I bought wildflowers specifically for their bases to 'pretty' them up a little

I have a couple of hobby mags and all my Strange Aeons books to help me cope, but space is a little limited for figures and paints as you can see!

Greetings Investigators and fellow Cultists!

'Tis I, brother Tas, recently returned from an expedition to sandy wastelands tracing the elusive path of Abdul Alhazred.  I have returned with new pages of texts illustrated with indescribable ceremonies...just in time for All Hallows' Eve! Bwahahaha!

To my delight, when I returned to my not-as-secret-as-I-would-like lair I found my Cult of the Black Goat membership pack waiting for me.  The T-Shirt emblazoned with the dark Mother's sign is comfortable, and also scratchy is a good, penitent kind of way <insert evil grin here>.

So I shall soon break out the modelling materials again to praise or Elder gods in miniature fashion
Ia Ia Cthulhu Ftagn!!!

PS I'm in an Innsmouth kind of mood these days so will be shortly delving into some Deep Ones and Hybrids.  Still deciding which figs to use.  Are the Rattrap ones still available? Cant find them on their site

Thank you all - its great to be back!

Elk101 - thanks, I am rather fond of my growing collection of madness!

Commander Vyper - its nice to return the eye candy after years of admiring your offerings!
I want to do another few rows of headstones like those, for the more formal, less dilapidated plots in my cemetery

Hmm... you have turned into the erranous ways of GW?  ;)

Touche! My sanity has slipped, but not THAT far!  8)

The cemetery is one of the nicest I've seen (in terms of wargaming terrain!) I have the same Hovels church and have painted it in the same colour scheme, coincidentally enough. You've got me thinking about redoing my gravestones though!

This is my Saxon Church which I put together for Dark Ages gaming, and really like it.  Its a heavily converted mdf kit.

The roof is removable, and I was thinking about making a damaged, tiled roof as an alternative to make it useable for Cthulu gaming.  It seems silly to build a second church when I have a very useable one, and spend the time building something I dont have.

But then I recalled that the front entranceway roof is fixed.  It would look kinds silly to have a thatched porch and tiles everything else, so I'm a bit stumped at the moment.  Thought I would share my dilemma to see if anyone else has a good idea.  I think I'm going to have to go with a new building though.

More pics of the Church here:

How about an interchangeable roof for the rest of it, as you suggested, and a seperate piece that you just add to the front that sits over the top of the existing part that cannot be removed?

Just a thought....
