Can anyone tell me how the various Fallschirmjaeger available compare?

Blot Action
Artizan
Crusader
Offensive
Black Tree
Foundry

Planning on doing Operation Rösselsprung for next year  :D

Cheers

I can get my hand on some these cheap. They look great but want to know how they match up with Bolt Action which i got a box of in the Bring and Buy at Kirriemuir. I also love the Offenisve figures as well.

Dear Iain

I represent Offensive at shows and paint for Warlord. In my opinion Offensive sit well with Warlord. Our range of FJ is extensive with plenty of support weapons and even a Kubelwagon and crew.

Artizan are chunky and more stylised in my opinion, they stand alone, or with Crusader and Black tree at a push, but the ranges are not as extensive in either case.

Foundry are good figures, but chunky again in my opinion.

You might think I would say this, but I think our range is the most comprehensive.

Heres some general shots and camparison shots with Warlord US paras and OM FJ's

OM FJ on a Corgi KingTiger wit a Warlord commander

Some other makes mixed in at front of shot - had to cut some down.

That would be us, Offensive Miniatures!

They are in the Kubelwagon set as passengers.

have a look at

I converted the vehicles from old Corgi castings myself.

Thanks for the kind comment.

Foundry figures match up well size-wise with Bolt Action.  Despite other's criticism I find them to be well proportioned - but they are dressed in early-war uniforms (knee pads, side lace boots, early gasmask bags, etc)

What figures are you using for the Yugolsav partisans? Just painted a whole load of French Resistance and wondering how easy it would be to mix them through and develop a Yugolav force

Left to Right:
Gerbirgsjager from Warm Acres (to get an idea of scale)
Bolt Action FJ Officer
Black Tree Design FJ with MP40
Offensive Miniatures officer with STU44

To me, they all scale up nicely and I have some Artizan and Crusader in my Herr army as well (too lazy to pull them right now to take a photo), but they line of fairly well in size for the most part. Once you mix them up and paint them you can hardly tell the difference.

I can say that all four of the retailers above are top notch. Black Tree Design is great if you want to save money, the quality isn't as high but for your money you get a damm good deal. Offensive is slightly more expensive but they have some nice detail and I do plan to order more later. Warlord does a good job with thier Bolt Action Line, I picked up a few figures to test their line out including a few FG42s, officers, Medic, Sniper and Flamethrower for my FJ. Hope this helps.

Here is a little comparison I did with Foundry, Black Tree and Crusader - http://dspaintingblog.blogspot.com/2008/08/28mm-fallschirmjager-figure-comparison.html

I have since added some Artizan and Bolt Action.  I should probably update my comparison.
