Black Powder Napoleonic booklet
« on: 23 November 2012, 09:05:12 AM »
Now up for pre-order:

Quote
Due for release mid-December, this is the first of two supplements for our Black Powder game that focuses on the Napoleonic battles involving British forces. Written by long-time gamer and Napoleonic aficionado, Adrian McWalter, this book focuses on the Flanders and Peninsular campaigns and is now available to pre-order…

112 pages of Napoleonic army lists, background, troop stats and scenarios make this an absolute must for lovers of Black Powder, of Napoleonic gaming or simply of gloriously produced wargaming books!

As we mentioned at the top of the page, this book is the first of two focusing on Great Britain’s battles in the wars – the next book will be out next year and will focus on the climax of the wars – the 100 days campaign and the Battle of Waterloo…

But guessing that many gamers are brits or want to game with them I get the thing on releasing a book centered at them. Just hope that there are enought about the Frenchies in there to.

Quite a distance from the peninsular and Flanders so yes I would expect so.

I only hope when they do the Waterloo book they don't use Sharpe and British history for the Netherlands forces.

There are other books on the way too, I've seen some of the draft material for the war in Russia. I know  ;) that there is lots of stuff going on for BP still for lots of other periods too but I suspect a lot of it will only see the light of day if there is sufficient demand.

Well, as long as the releases are more regular than WAB I'll be happy.

From memory I think there are 3 volumes planned on the Napoleonic wars, but as I said I think a lot will come down to the demand. Obviously there is Albion Triumphant, one that will include Russia but I can't recall what the other one was.
