The last of the warriors are just about to head outside for varnishing, leaving two characters to finish: the main man and his bodyguard.

The Beastie Boys kindly included some spare shields in my order. So I intend to follow Andy's lead and turn some of them into shield wall markers.

Anyway, photos of the warriors will be up tomorrow  :)

Looks like the good Dr and I will be set for our first game next week :o

So that's that for me - I'm officially done painting my Dux starter!

My generalissimo is done.

It's rather nice to see a project finish like this. It happens all too rarely to lead fools like me.  :)

I've put the boring close ups on my blog.  ;)

Can I ask a dumb question?  What is the best glue to use for attaching metal figures to  bases?

Very individual choice. I use a coloured painting/caulking tube product that I then water down. I based a number of 28mm & 15mm figures today using this method. Today after I slathered the watered down compund on to my metal washer, I then sprinkled my ground effect scatter (2 different lots) straight on to the compound.

Can I ask a dumb question?  What is the best glue to use for attaching metal figures to  bases?
Cheers,

I find that cyanoacrylates - 'superglues' - have the highest bonding strenght in these matters. Maybe other compounds have even higher coefficients. But unless you're in the habit of dropping of your miniatures.

Great going matey. Love the golden armour and shield design.

Here's the last of my warriors:

Just the two characters left for me to do :)

You've made two lovely looking little armies there. Well done. Looking forward to seeing the first battle report  :)
