Erics Build - (a graceful exit...not enough time)
« on: 26 November 2012, 04:51:40 PM »
I have settled on my decision and I will be building a coastline for my Pirates project...this will include

Cliffs, Sandy Shores with Palmtrees, A stone Fort, and estuary and a small port....can I build this in a month?

The water bit will will be sea, waves, and a few features from the sea

Will try...

Hi Marianas_gamer

Dont suppose you have any pictures? I have an idea in mind but inspiration is always welcome.

What with Christmas and then jetting off to the Indian Ocean for some sun on Boxing Day I better get my skates on - I reckon I have about 60 hours to build this....

Eric,
Here is a pic of my beach.  All four feet of it.

It was a Christmas gift from my mom a couple of years back.  She got it off eBay and thought that I was crazy for wanting it.

Quick update: Managed to virtually complete the fort last night out of foamcore. Just waiting for some cannons to arrve so I can guage the height of the embrasures.

With a fair wind this could get it first coat of paint by the end of the week.

Once this is done I will be turning my attention to the harbour wall & lighthouse.

Once all the hard construction is complete I will then focus on the water effects - namely the waves.

Looking good Giles, but you might need to watch what pictures your posting up bud. I might be wrong, but I don't think your supposed to post pics up of the finished build.
