Ditto, ditto!  Do you have a small tutorial on how you do the skin?  Do you also add a general color over the whole miniature to bind the colors together?  Or is it what it seems, you use a pretty tight palette?  I'm super curious!

I've not got a tutorial yet but I'm hoping to do more of that kind of thing in the future.

I don't use any colours over the whole model to bind the colours but I do sometimes use ink or 'wash' glazes over specific areas.

Anyway, this week hasn't gone according to plan but here's another model I finished earlier in the week.

Damn right!   The sweatshirt is mind blowing!  o_o and the face!

Am I right in thinking this is a different skin tone than you have used in the past?  I remember you describing one based on the tallarhn (or how ever you spell that.. ::) flesh...this seems more tan based?

Cheers,

Blue

You know what does "it" for me with this particular figure is the depth of shadow you left in the hood...I would have certainly painted more of the inside of the hood...and ruined the effect that you have here....awesome!

Instead of the old Tallarn Flesh I've been using VMC USA Tan Earth. It's a bit more muted than the Tallarn Flesh but works just as well. There wasn't any artsy fartsy reason for the change though, it's simply that the Vallejo stuff is cheaper than GW and I was looking to find a good proxy.

 :o A sticky!?

Thanks for all the comments folks. As ever they're much appreciated. Should be back into the swing of things this coming week so hopefully will have the last 3 models done and have everything based up.
