What did you use for the water?

Water based estapol,painted in successive layers :)

Still needs a lot of work till I'm happy and I have been looking at my John Bauer collection for inspiration,which perhaps has complicated things... ;D
   Anyway I'm enjoying the project immensely,it's really invigorated my artistic bent(for want of a better term).

Then some of the Swedes on this forum might be very happy! There was a discussion a year ago to do a John Baueresque scenario :) Engel is doing his part with "Tree moss".

As for the finish, got damn! :-*
