Do three curved daggers arranged into a radially symmetrical "Y" shape with the blades facing out.

The problem with all those using the "red field/white shape/black symbol" approaches is that they could be construed as legally relevant with regard to the letter of the law.

The hydra logo is definitely on the safe side, as would the hammer version. With regard to the Wolfenstein logo, do not use that one as the current game may not be actively promoted in Germany (possession is not a problem as long as you are at least eighteen years old.

My recommendation would be to increase the level of detachment, so, for example leave out the white field and only use a black symbol on a red field or vice versa.

I appreciate the problem, but the current judicial argument is that it will be liable if the symbol in question "may be mistaken for a Nazi symbol by a non-specialist observer upon inspection, withou further research". This pretty much also covers the rune symbol posted earlier, so I'll take it out.

I'll keep watching this thread, but for the time being, feel free to continue the discussion. By the way, descriptions rather than images are perfectly okay.

I'd juggle the colours, maybe go for a red zed on a black background with a white border  ;)
Well I've lead an evil life, so they say, but I'll outrun the Devil on judgement day.

not bad :D

but I think I'm going to go with a black Z on a white diamond on a field of red, or an inversion of those colours.
thanks for all the help :)

Another idea is the design in Sinclair Lewis' 1935 novel "It Can't Happen Here" (fictional rise of a fascist movement in America, as contemporary to Mussolini and Hitler).  The design there was a ship's wheel.

The diamond and a lightning bolt Z kind of thing would look menacing enough. Certainly better than photoshopping them away.  :D

edited for not derailing the topic :)

What about the Block 109 New teutonic order symbol. Arrow piercing a square looks kinda neat.

Well, the most common non-swastika swastika ist the Balkenkreuz or the Schwarzes Kreuz. For it was really used by (and still is) german Forces it also has the "right look".

regards
Zwerch!!!

I agree with you. I also thought of using the cross of the Imperial Army of the First World War, again used today by the German army, as a symbol for our Weird Germans.
As substitutes for the Nazis forces, like Waffen-SS, we decided to put the members of the dark sect led by Red Skull, the well known evil character of the comic book Captain America.
