More from my ever growing collection of explorers and adventurers.

Left to right: "Pops" Redfield, expedition leader; Roxton, big game hunter; Cousin Frank; Ned Redfield (kneeling) and Young Teddy Redfield.

Figs are a mix of Foundry, Blue Moon and Copplestone.

Also did this as a support vehicle for them:

First time I've painted a vehicle, quite happy with the results, but willing to take advice for next time.

Whats the good word, chaps?  :)

Lovely painting and basing, and the truck looks really good too.

Would it be Ok to copy your photos over to the Lost World Safari Yahoo group photo album as inspiration for dinosaur hunting partys please?

The truck is an old Matchbox diecast I picked up from a second hand shop for a couple of quid. I'm afraid I don't know what make or model it's supposed to represent. I call her Bessie.

I believe that they are quite easy to come by though, and come in several different versions. This one came with a canopy and softcover for the bed (damaged, so I removed them), and I've seen another with a load of barrels in the back. Pretty sure there's a hardtop too.  :?:

If they aren't in production anymore, Ebay will no doubt be your friend. I'm glad you like it though. Like I said, first attempt at a vehicle, so was pleasantly surprised.

Frank's a real man. If he's cold, he'll kill the yeti and skin it for clothing. Otherwise, no shirt for him!

Great job. The figures look fantastic! And the truck is very well done.

It´s supposed to be a 1918 Crossley lorry. I had one of those as well, but it didn´t really fit the style of my Bolsheviks, so I sold it to a buddy...

Lovely figures. I particularly like that green vest on the chap in the first picture. Perfect colour combination, methinks.

They look like they are all from the same expedition, what with the "color cohesiveness".  Outstanding work!

If you were a member of that expedition, which one would you be?  I would be the shirtless fellow, mostly because as soon as I hear the word "camping" or anything similar, I start disrobing.  I don't really know why, but I just can't be camping with a shirt on.  It just feels all wrong.
