Do you know if the aliens are available yet?

You should pm PF. I haven't seen him around the last couple of days but I'm sure he'll get back to you when he can.

Very fine work.  Particularly liked the Vulture Squad and the Samaritans.  They respectively look like an organized military force, with uniform equipment.

More excellent work!  Love the look of these guys and gals.

I've been working on my Samaritans as well.  Once you get past the arduous cleaning-up they're really great figs.  I've got one set done and two more waiting for paint….

Some really nice models and paintjobs in this thread, well done!  :D

Where is the chap in this picture from please:

A few more protagonists.

Two more macs.

As for AE: Bounty (assuming you've not played it yet), it's fine. It's not great, but it's acceptable for a quick knockabout. It's main issues for me are:

1) Unbalanced skills and equipment. Easy to abuse, even if accidentally.

2) Veterancy levels are great, until you realise that Green troops are a pain in the ass to make work in a skirmish game that's supposed to be fairly action-orientated. I'd mod this to limit Green troops to certain actions rather than penalising them by only allowing one Action Point - it also helps stop gaming the Green limitation by just choosing races or skills than get around the restriction.

3) A lot of weapons feel a bit bland. Plasma and Electro lasers occupy opposite ends of the weapon spectrum, but slug-throwers sit awkwardly in the middle. Not the worst aspect by far, but you sort of expect sci-fi games to feel a bit more exciting.

4) The crew-building system makes a great fanfare of having no points, instead allowing you trade "slots" up or down for different options (generally trading down give you more slots but at a lower level, and vice-versa). In practice however it's really clunky and I find it impossible to build a list quickly. It also means that weapons/skills/equipment cannot be adjusted for some situations but not others. This is partly why some combinations of choices are so good, whereas others are really poor - yet they all "cost" the same!

However, it has many positive attributes too:

1) Fast to play

2) Very flexible, very adaptable

3) Lots of scenarios, and even a rudimentary campaign system

4) Some good ideas, like Dirty Tricks and fluffy terrain rules.

5) Different factions score differently according to their motivations for fighting. So elite bounty hunters are looking to capture the enemy, and swarmy pirate hordes are looking to kill and loot for example.

5) Lots of secondary objectives, which helps makes games more varied.

Very nice collection of little toy soldiers.  Great painting on all of these.  I also really like the terrain.

I won't lie; I am jealous.

I've been struggling with my painting of late, it's far too hot and sticky here, and to make matters worse, we seem to have acquired a second squatter in our flat.
This one's smaller than the first, but twice as demanding. On top of demanding food and affection at very antisocial hours, depriving other members of the household of necessary sleep, this new arrival makes absolutely no contribution to the rent, nor cooking or cleaning duties. Truth be told, she doesn't even clean her own bottom.
To make matters worse, she has displaced me in terms of my wife's affections, I am now a lowly third in the pecking order.
I've tried talking to the offending party, to try and get her to move on, but all I get in return are vacant stares. I guess she's here to stay...

Anyhow, got this AI drone done from Sedation wars, now if I get the zeds done I might actually get around to playing a game, 4 years after the box arrived! lol

Then I finally got around to finishing this motley group of raiders, who've been sat on my desk mocking me for the best part of 2 months.

All but one of the sculpts are by Edgar Ramos, so they fit together well, although they're from various different manufacturers. I wish Edgar would do some more of his punks as they really are excellent sculpts, full of character.

They are probably more post-apoc than sci-fi, bit I'm putting them here as they'll be yet another faction in my all encompassing sci-fi setting.

Without further ado, may I present 'Bishop's Raiders'

Bishop, from Wyrrd.

Belladona, think she was a CMON limited ed

Fallout Girl, from RFm, sculpted by James Van Schiak???

Superb paint jobs on some greats culpts. They certainly have the right amount of grunge look to them. Excellent ;D
